About the Department
The Department of Gaming is a state government agency, but does not
receive any tax revenue or general fund monies for its support.
Positions with the Department are not part of the State merit system.
The main office is located in central Phoenix. The Department has
satellite offices located in Flagstaff and Tucson. Gaming
facilities are located throughout all of Arizona. Some positions with
the Department may periodically entail overnight travel.
All offices of the Department of Gaming
comply with the Smoke-Free Arizona Act
(A.R.S. § 36-601.01) passed by the
voters in the 2006 General Election.

In conjunction with a special
agent, conducts financial investigations of entities and
individuals for State Gaming Certification. Conducts forensic
audits and related financial investigations, examines company
and/or individual financial records. Confers/coordinates with
assigned special agent, assists in preparing comprehensive
reports of findings. Confers with appropriate manager, assistant
Attorney General and Tribal entity. Testifies in administrative
and/or criminal proceedings as necessary. Requires domestic and
occasional international travel. |
Bachelors Degree in Accounting or
related financial field and three years of professional
financial investigative or closely related experience. An
advanced degree may substitute for six months of the required
experience. Preferred Qualifications: One year audit
/accounting experience. Professional certification (e.g. CPA,
CIA, CMA, CFE) |
